About the role
Responsibilities
- Participate in defining mandates and drafting service offers
- Perform project cost estimations
- Act as a project manager and/or discipline lead for various project scales
- Supervise and execute the design of switchgear projects
- Supervise the production of plans, including signing and sealing them
- Conduct technical studies and draft documents such as calculation notes, specifications, and reports
- Monitor project progress against budgets and schedules using earned value and cost performance index (CPI) principles
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other business units
- Establish and maintain client relationships as a company ambassador
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical switchgear and substations
- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ)
- Fluency in both French and English (written and oral)
- Valid ASP Construction card
- Basic knowledge of electrical installation safety
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in consulting engineering
- Experience with Hydro-Québec projects
- Proficiency in ETAP, EasyPower, or CDEGS software
