Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate temporary electrical installations for construction and mining sites
• Promote and maintain high safety standards including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures
• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems, fiber optic networks, and communication systems
• Plan, organize, and assign daily work activities for electrical crews
• Lead installation, testing, commissioning, and start-up of electrical and control systems
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC, instrumentation, and power distribution systems
• Conduct routine inspections, audits, and preventive maintenance programs
• Maintain technical documentation including single-line diagrams and wiring schematics
• Manage material procurement, inventory, and equipment mobilization
• Conduct daily pre-shift safety meetings and document operational data

Requirements

• High School Diploma and/or Bachelors Degree in a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in temporary electrical installations within construction, civil engineering, mining, or industrial sectors
• Proven supervisory and team leadership experience
• Extensive knowledge of temporary power systems, low-voltage distribution, PLCs, and fiber optic networks
• Thorough understanding of Ontario electrical codes and Canadian standards
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a College Trades Program
• Licensed Electrician
