Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Direct all on-site electrical equipment installation activities, including instrumentation, protection/control systems, and distribution equipment.
• Plan and coordinate electrical installation activities, including labor estimation, material quantity validation, and scheduling.
• Lead and manage a team of electrical foremen and electricians on-site.
• Ensure safe and profitable execution of electrical works in accordance with project schedules and quality requirements.
• Manage site resources, including temporary power supply, tooling, and personnel optimization.
• Monitor installation costs, track progress, and analyze variances.
• Coordinate with engineering teams regarding modification requests and non-conformities.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar leadership role within industrial electrical installation.
• Proven leadership experience on medium to large-scale construction sites, preferably within a unionized Canadian environment.
• Strong technical understanding of electrical equipment and the Canadian Electrical Code (CSA C22.1).
• Fluency in English (written and spoken); French is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Electrician training with Red Seal certification or Journeyman status.
• Technical understanding of hydro-electric equipment, including turbines and alternators.
• Experience with Primavera P6.
