Electrical Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and lead all electrical installation activities on-site for hydroelectric power projects.
• Lead a team of electrical supervisors and electricians to ensure safe and cost-effective execution.
• Prepare electrical installation plans, including man-hour estimates, material quantities, and schedules.
• Manage site staffing requirements, including supervision and labor optimization.
• Monitor project progress, analyze installation costs, and prepare estimates for site change orders.
• Coordinate temporary/construction power mobilization and site power supply.
• Review design scopes, installation manuals, and technical documentation.
• Follow up with engineering regarding change requests and non-compliance issues.

Requirements

• 5 to 10 years of experience in a similar supervisory role.
• Proven experience working on medium to large-scale Canadian unionized construction sites.
• Strong leadership experience in industrial electrical installation.
• In-depth knowledge of the Canadian electrical code (CSA C22.1).
• Excellent understanding of electrical equipment used in industrial settings.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal); French is considered an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities and tight deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyman certification or Red Seal certification.
• Previous experience specifically within hydro-electric power projects.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6.
