Electrical Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical subcontractors, providing technical, scheduling, and safety direction
• Own the full lifecycle of data center electrical systems from design through commissioning
• Oversee and coordinate electrical subcontractor activities on-site
• Inspect and verify critical electrical installations, terminations, and panel work
• Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and project specifications
• Identify and correct workmanship deficiencies before system energization
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to resolve field issues
• Maintain documentation for inspections, punch lists, and quality checks
• Enforce safety standards and proper lockout/tagout procedures

Requirements

• Active Master Electrician license or equivalent state certification
• 8–15+ years of commercial or industrial electrical experience
• Deep knowledge of medium- and low-voltage power distribution, UPS systems, generators, and switchgear
• Experience overseeing electrical construction projects from design through commissioning
• Deep knowledge of NEC, NETA, and applicable local codes
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hyperscale or colocation data center environments (10+ MW capacity)
• Experience in high-reliability environments such as energy, industrial, or oil & gas
• Background in QA/QC or commissioning
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
