Electrical Subject Matter Expert, Data Center Operations

Responsibilities

• Serve as the onsite technical expert for electrical infrastructure systems and equipment
• Plan, author, and approve work procedures for electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
• Conduct or oversee hands-on maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
• Oversee electrical system configurations and component upgrades to ensure compliance and integrity
• Provide Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QAQC) oversight for construction projects and maintenance activities
• Lead root-cause analysis activities related to electrical systems
• Provide technical training to Critical Facility Engineers and cross-functional teams
• Manage vendor relationships for electrical maintenance and retrofit work

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant electrical industry experience (or a Bachelor’s degree/trade certification plus 2+ years of experience)
• Experience working in critical environments
• Theoretical and practical understanding of power equipment and systems
• Working knowledge of mechanical, controls, and fire and life safety systems
• Ability to interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and electrical specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high voltage (up to 345kV) equipment construction, operation, and maintenance
• Experience with instrumentation and control, power system protection, or power automation
• NETA or NICET electrical testing experience or certifications
• Previous experience in the data center industry
• Trade Certification or state license as an electrician
