Electrical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems across multiple facilities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution equipment, including substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relays, transformers (up to 138kV), and backup generators.
• Plan and execute maintenance activities such as IR thermography, transformer oil analysis, and power quality analysis.
• Analyze equipment performance data to ensure optimal reliability and efficiency.
• Support root cause analysis (RCA) to resolve chronic electrical equipment issues.
• Assist with turnaround planning, scope development, and cost estimation for electrical work.
• Provide technical direction to plant personnel and contractors to ensure safe execution of work.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5+ years of experience maintaining medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) electrical systems in an industrial environment.
• Proven experience in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems and equipment.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard computer software tools.
• Experience using Infor Enterprise Asset Management or similar systems.
• Ability to perform a combination of field and office work with up to 50% domestic travel.
