About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, and quality standards
- Lead, supervise, and support site crews to foster productivity, accountability, and teamwork
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, client representatives, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring adherence to company safety policies and reporting all incidents
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to meet construction timelines through effective planning of manpower, materials, and equipment
- Monitor and maintain the quality of workmanship in accordance with design documents and project requirements
- Coordinate with the Project Manager and client to review and resolve RFIs and Change Orders
- Ensure all electrical work complies with Technical Safety BC requirements and applicable permits
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or a Journeyperson Electrician designation
- 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry
- Thorough knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and WorkSafeBC regulations
- Valid class 5 driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability and willingness to travel to remote sites and work in adverse weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work within strict deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in BC Hydro or utility-related work
- High-voltage electrical experience
- PSSP/WPP, CAT5, or equivalent utility safety training
