About the role
Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all on-site construction activities to ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, schedules, and budgets
- Lead, supervise, and support site crews to foster productivity, accountability, and teamwork
- Act as the primary liaison between the company, client representatives, subcontractors, and on-site personnel
- Promote a strong safety culture by ensuring strict adherence to company safety policies and procedures
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to manage manpower, materials, tools, and equipment to meet construction timelines
- Monitor and maintain the quality of workmanship in accordance with design documents
- Mentor and train crew members to support continuous improvement and safe work practices
- Document and report all incidents and manage crew timesheet submissions
Requirements
- Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or a Journeyperson PSE/Electrician designation
- 5–7 years of experience in the construction industry
- Working knowledge of construction methods, safety regulations, scheduling, and cost control
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required
- Experience in medium- to high-voltage substation construction is considered an asset
