Electrical Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical service calls, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical issues in residential homes
• Install, maintain, and upgrade electrical systems, including wiring, outlets, switches, and lighting fixtures
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with clients regarding their electrical needs and solutions
• Conduct inspections and assessments of electrical systems to identify potential issues and ensure safety
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent on each job
• Collaborate with other technicians and team members to ensure efficient job completion
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, trends, and safety practices

Requirements

• At least 2 years of residential electrical experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record

Preferred Qualifications

• Licensed Wireman or Journeyman Electrician
• Completion of an electrical apprenticeship program
• Previous experience working in a residential service department
