Electrical Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe and reliable operations of electrical systems across industrial gas production facilities.
• Act as the primary technical resource for low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and motors.
• Monitor preventive and predictive maintenance programs such as transformer oil analysis, thermography, and partial discharge testing.
• Identify and resolve chronic electrical asset issues to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
• Develop and execute small electrical projects focused on reliability improvements.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major electrical failures and implement corrective actions.
• Support cost estimation for maintenance and electrical project work.
• Perform combined office and field work with approximately 25% domestic travel.

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of maintenance/reliability experience focused on electrical assets, OR 15+ years of equivalent industrial experience.
• Proven experience with low, medium, and high-voltage electrical distribution systems.
• Knowledge of electrical preventive and predictive maintenance methodologies and technologies.
• Proficiency in using CMMS systems and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple technical tasks with minimal supervision.
• Strong communication skills for technical documentation.
