About the role

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, maintain, modify, and repair complex prototype electrical assemblies
  • Interpret drawings, schematics, 3D models, and technical specifications
  • Lead other technicians in the layout and fitment of electrical, electro-optical, and electro-mechanical assemblies
  • Adapt methods and procedures to test, analyze, and troubleshoot new hardware
  • Perform electrical/mechanical engineering drawing peer reviews to validate design specifications
  • Assess complex designs to ensure producibility, maintainability, safety, and reliability
  • Collaborate with design teams to communicate build concerns and implement design improvements

Requirements

  • AA/AS degree or 2-year post high school training with at least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in an engineering environment testing and fabricating electrical assemblies
  • Proficiency with cables, wire harnesses, breakout boxes, or circuit card modifications
  • Experience with racked electronic equipment or troubleshooting systems in an integration environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and schematics
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing schematics to identify producibility issues
  • Military electronics or avionics training
  • Familiarity with 3D drawings and CAD tools
  • J-STD-001 Solder certification
  • IPC 610 & 620 Acceptability certifications and inspection experience
