Electrical Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end electrical project execution for a mission-critical facility, from design review to commissioning
• Oversee electrical contractors, consultants, and vendors to ensure compliance with project scope, quality, and safety standards
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, method statements, and shop drawings
• Plan and monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with local authorities, codes, and standards such as Suruhanjaya Tenaga, IEC, and MS standards
• Coordinate with civil, mechanical, process, and EHS teams to ensure seamless project delivery
• Conduct site inspections, progress meetings, and risk assessments
• Manage testing, commissioning, and handover documentation
• Identify and mitigate project risks, technical issues, and delays
• Prepare regular project status reports for stakeholders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• 7–10 years of experience in electrical project management, preferably in manufacturing, industrial, or plant construction
• Strong knowledge of LV/MV systems, power distribution, switchgear, lighting, earthing, and industrial electrical installations
• Experience managing contractors and multidisciplinary site teams
• Familiarity with Malaysian electrical regulations and authority submissions
• Proficiency in project management tools and documentation
• Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills
