Electrical Project Engineer

Responsibilities

• Review and provide constructive feedback on electrical documentation, including block cable diagrams, load schedules, MCC/RTU electrical schematics, and communications architecture drawings
• Represent Kier at client meetings and coordinate with Thames Water Operations teams to support electrical commissioning activities on live process plants
• Oversee electrical installation and commissioning works on site, ensuring compliance with quality and asset standards
• Attend Factory Acceptance Tests for MCC/RTU builds to ensure products meet design criteria and operational requirements
• Support contractors within the discipline while maintaining company standards in health and safety, environmental management, and quality

Requirements

• HNC qualification in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering (or a similar discipline)
• Experience in low voltage (LV) electrical installations, ideally on large-scale water treatment works
• Working knowledge of large motor control centres (MCC) and associated control systems
• Understanding of communications protocols such as Profibus, DeviceNet, and Ethernet IP
• Full driving licence
