Electrical Project Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

• Support research, drafting, and documentation for electrical distribution and structure-level wiring designs aligned with NEC and relevant standards
• Assist with UL/TUV certification efforts by gathering documentation and coordinating with engineering partners
• Design electrical distribution for commercial and light-industrial ground system projects per NEC and applicable codes
• Design next-generation charging structure electrical wiring and installation approaches
• Evaluate vendors and select reliable services and products within budget constraints
• Document project risks, support cross-team communication, and participate in occasional site visits
• Create documentation to ensure quality and process refinement between builds
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to improve Ground Systems infrastructure

Requirements

• Completed second year of undergraduate studies; Master’s and PhD students also eligible
• Relevant coursework in circuits, power systems, or construction
• Familiarity with CAD/ECAD tools such as Revit, Bluebeam Revu, AutoCAD, or NX
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and learn
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
• Comfort with hands-on work and openness to occasional travel
