Responsibilities

• Participate in the design process and management of complex Mission Critical data center projects
• Assess risks and roles associated with various project delivery methods
• Interpret and apply principles of contract documents and agreements
• Identify, track, and address design and engineering challenges during design and construction phases
• Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications applying National Electrical Code (NEC) standards
• Review one-line diagrams, equipment submittals, and other trades’ design drawings
• Demonstrate knowledge of electrical distribution equipment including low and medium-voltage transformers, switchboards, and switchgear
• Evaluate the constructability of electrical systems including conduit, cable tray, busway routing, grounding, and bonding
• Conduct cross-discipline drawing coordination and design quality reviews for MEP disciplines
• Provide technical expertise and engineering solutions to support design evolution
• Coordinate creation of integrated electrical room concepts and collaborate with subcontractors

Requirements

• 2–5+ years in an engineering position
• Experience in Mission Critical data center projects preferred
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to independently assess and evaluate issues
• High level of morality and ethics
• Strategic, solutions-oriented, and detail-oriented
• Independent worker with a collaborative mindset
