Electrical Power Designer

Responsibilities

• Project electrical power solutions within the medium voltage range (1–52 kV) for industrial internal distribution networks
• Dimension cabling, transformers, relay protection, switchgear, and other equipment according to standards
• Produce technical documentation including drawings, schematics, material specifications, and load calculations
• Support project managers and asset owners during procurement, calculation, scheduling, and installation
• Participate in technical feasibility studies, risk analyses, and requirement setting for new and renovation projects
• Coordinate with internal departments such as electrical operations, maintenance, and production
• Participate in contractor follow-up, installation inspections, FAT/SAT testing, and commissioning
• Follow electrical safety legislation and internal guidelines

Requirements

• Post-secondary technical education in electrical power or equivalent (YH, university, or civil engineer)
• Practical or theoretical experience in electrical power design (e.g., switchgear, relay protection, transformer stations)
• Good understanding of medium voltage systems (1–52 kV)
• Proficiency in CAD-based drawing systems (e.g., ELPROCAD, MagiCAD, EPLAN)
• Knowledge of electrical standards and regulations (e.g., ESA, SS-EN standards)
• Good command of Swedish and English
• Valid B-driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

• Long-term experience in electrical power design within industrial environments
• Knowledge of relay protection, selectivity plans, and short-circuit calculations
• Experience in project coordination with electrical contractors and installers
• Familiarity with SCADA systems and documentation systems (e.g., PDM)
