Electrical Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, and repair complex industrial electronic and electrical systems, controls, and support equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using voltmeters, circuit analyzers, and other test instruments.
• Interpret complicated drawings, schematics, blueprints, and service manuals to resolve machine control issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance (TPM) and machine checks to ensure functional quality and code compliance.
• Install and repair high voltage equipment, including switchgear, transformers, and substation wiring.
• Maintain facility support services such as HVAC, process piping, and electrical conduit/wiring.
• Respond to production emergencies and report potentially dangerous situations to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Completion of a qualified electrical apprenticeship.
• Experience as an Electrical Lineman.
• Knowledge of medium voltage power distribution.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual).

Preferred Qualifications

• 2+ years of relevant electrical experience.
• Ability to diagnose problems with motor controls, programmable controls, CNC controls, and relay logic.
• Familiarity with OSHA and general industrial safety practices.
• Experience performing calibrations on electronic and electrical devices.
• Strong organizational skills and diligence in maintenance record keeping.
