About the role

Responsibilities

  • Ensure documentation packages are accurate and ready for transfer to suppliers and contract manufacturing partners
  • Update existing designs and drawings, conduct DFM/DFA reviews, and maintain documentation for customized products
  • Author and maintain assembly and inspection procedures for analog/RF, power electrical, and electro-mechanical modules
  • Maintain the Corporate Altium Part Managed Library and create new footprints/symbols
  • Manage change and product structure within CAD and PLM tools
  • Release technical documentation packages and coordinate CAD file conversions
  • Interact with suppliers to troubleshoot production issues and maintain manufacturing documentation
  • Ensure BOM accuracy and collaborate with sourcing teams to resolve discrepancies
  • Review schematics, layouts, and BOMs to identify manufacturability risks
  • Influence design decisions to improve yield, reliability, and cost

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field (or 6+ years of relevant experience)
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience with electrical systems and manufacturing documentation for outsourced production
  • Proficiency in PCB CAD software, preferably Altium
  • Thorough understanding of PCB fabrication, assembly, production test, ICT, and flying probe
  • Proficiency with PLM and configuration management processes (ECO/ECR/MCO)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in FCC/UL/CE and General Compliance Testing
  • Experience with prototype fabrication and testing
  • Familiarity with digital thread and model-based definition (MBD) environments
  • Previous experience working in a startup environment
