About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead electrical supervision activities, ensuring technical compliance, safety, and quality from pre-construction through commissioning.
- Perform technical reviews of shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and as-builts.
- Oversee daily inspections, surveillance, and quality control for LV/MV/HV distribution, substations, and ELV systems.
- Lead testing, commissioning, and integrated systems testing (FAT/SAT) and verify all test records.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, designers, and local authorities to secure permits and energization approvals.
- Manage electrical progress against baselines and support change management and contract administration.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BEng) from an accredited institution.
- 15+ years of experience in electrical engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in construction supervision consultancy.
- 2–3 years of experience in a lead or management role.
- Strong knowledge of IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS codes, and local authority requirements.
- Proven experience with testing, commissioning, and utility energization processes.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Professional registration (e.g., CEng, PE) or PMP certification.
- Chartered membership or active affiliation with IEEE, IES, or IEI.
- Prior experience with FIDIC-based contracts.
- Regional authority experience regarding utilities and municipal approvals.
