Electrical Journeyperson/Electrical Apprentice

Barton Malow Canada is an Industrial Contractor with clients across Canada. Our services include Engineer-Procure-Construct (EPC) Construction, Design-Build, Integrated Project Delivery, General Contracting, and Specialty Contracting. Our primary markets are Energy, with a focus on renewables, and Automotive, with a focus on electric vehicle technology.

Responsibilities

• Execute electrical installation work in accordance with drawings, specifications, and project schedules
• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components
• Assemble and install electrical wiring, conduit, panels, and equipment on industrial and construction sites
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications
• Troubleshoot electrical issues, identify hazards or malfunctions, and complete repairs
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and company policies
• Participate in daily safety meetings, inspections, and site safety practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Requirements

• Valid Electrician Journeyperson Trade Certificate (Red Seal considered an asset) for Journeypersons
• Registered Electrical Apprentice with a recognized provincial training authority for Apprentices
• Experience in industrial, commercial, or large-scale construction electrical work
• Solid understanding of construction procedures and safety practices
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work on project sites near Red Deer, Alberta
• Willingness to work project-based schedules and travel as required
