Electrical Journeyperson

Responsibilities

• Perform layout, installation, repair, and preventative maintenance of complex electrical equipment and circuits
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions to minimize production delays
• Read and interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics
• Follow established safety procedures in accordance with OSHA and company standards
• Participate in continuous improvement activities and promote teamwork across departments

Requirements

• At least six (6) years of related experience as an Electrician or a U.S. Department of Labor Certificate of Completion in the Electrical trade
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Authorized to work in the United States (GM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship)
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including day, afternoon, or night shifts, as well as overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to pass comprehensive assessments, drug testing, and a background check
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, navigate a busy industrial environment, and lift up to 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) such as RSLogix, Siemens, Rockwell, GE Fanuc, or Modicon
• Experience with industrial robotics systems (e.g., Fanuc, ABB, or Rockwell)
• Experience with Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) and their integration into automated systems
