About the role
Responsibilities
- Work on an interdisciplinary team to design, build, and test satellite hardware and software
- Collaborate with Electrical, Mechanical, RF, and Propulsion engineering teams to develop assembly and integration test plans
- Utilize various test equipment and instruments, including thermal chambers, vibration tables, DAQs, and oscilloscopes, to execute test plans
- Coordinate assembly, integration, and environmental test efforts
- Solve complex electrical, software, and mechanical problems within an integrated system
Requirements
- Four-year degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent technical degree
- Recent graduate (within the last 6 months) or currently enrolled in a post-graduate program
- Strong passion for hands-on hardware development in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and communicate clearly
- Ability to work onsite in San Francisco 5 days a week
- U.S. Citizenship, Lawful Permanent Residency, or Refugee/Asylee Status required
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing complex electrical systems
- Proficiency in Python for interfacing with test equipment, processing datasets, and data visualization
- Direct experience in electrical or software design
- Demonstrated ability to debug hardware and software problems under time pressure
