Electrical & Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation equipment to support pet food manufacturing.
• Troubleshoot power distribution, Studio5000/Logix5000 platforms, drives, motion control, and Ethernet/IP networks.
• Perform preventive maintenance activities and work orders to maximize plant equipment performance.
• Utilize electrical drawings, prints, and instruction manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
• Use continuous improvement tools to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly work area to ensure food safety and compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience with electrical systems, PLC, motor/motion controls, and instrumentation.
• Working knowledge of electrical safety and electrical schematics.
• Proficiency in industrial controls, including HMIs and power distribution.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 65 lbs and frequent climbing of ladders or stairs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree, technical degree, or specialized technical training.
• Previous experience in food manufacturing environments.
• Previous mechanical or maintenance experience.
