About the role

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair instrumentation and electrical systems, including pressure regulators, relief devices, and control valves
  • Troubleshoot low-voltage electrical systems and instrumentation using diagnostic tools such as multimeters and clamp meters
  • Diagnose and maintain process instrumentation (Pressure, Temperature, Level, Flow) and AC/DC variable speed drives
  • Support and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, DCS, ControlLogix, and RSLogix
  • Apply technical documentation, including drawings and manuals, to resolve complex issues
  • Participate in maintenance planning, SOP development, and work order documentation
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and reduce downtime
  • Adhere to all environmental, health, and operational safety procedures

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3–5 years of Electrical & Instrumentation experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation
  • Knowledge of electrical safety practices and national codes/regulations (NEC, NFPA)
  • Basic computer skills, including email and Microsoft Office
  • Physical ability to perform job tasks such as climbing, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including a supplied-air full-face respirator

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Engineering Technology
  • Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship program
  • 5+ years of Electrical & Instrumentation experience
  • Experience working in Process Safety Management (PSM) environments
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout and Line Break safe work practices
