About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical support to the facility by analyzing, repairing, and replacing electrical components
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues across all shifts, including motors, bearings, and light switches
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation
  • Use electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, amp probes, and oscilloscopes
  • Work with Controls Engineers to troubleshoot PLC faults and programming errors
  • Maintain and repair electrical melting equipment, including transformation reactors and control panels
  • Adjust, program, and install VFDs and PLCs as required
  • Perform electrical repairs on glass melting furnace equipment and mechanical inspection systems
  • Adhere to all safety rules, OSHA regulations, and standard operating procedures (SOP)

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of relevant electrical experience
  • Ability to read and follow electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Proficiency with multimeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Working knowledge of PLC and VFD systems
  • Ability to stand and walk for 7+ hours per day and lift over 50 lbs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Familiarity with glass melting or pharmaceutical glass production
