About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage operational safety, availability, and reliability of plant physical assets by supervising maintenance strategies for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Site Management System requirements (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, 45001, PSM, etc.) and Orbia Asset Integrity Management standards.
- Manage the electrical and instrumentation team budget, providing monthly reports on actual vs. planned spending.
- Supervise the development and implementation of reliability-based maintenance and inspection programs using RCM, RBI, and FMEA methodologies.
- Lead technical failure analysis for recurring issues (bad actors) using RCA methodologies and establish corrective action plans.
- Drive the use of proactive maintenance techniques, including predictive and preventive strategies, to optimize reliability and costs.
- Manage team personnel, including training requirements, competency evaluations, and performance management.
- Oversee the identification of equipment for CAPEX replacement programs and participate in risk analysis for investment projects.
- Monitor performance indicators such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and failure risk.
- Support the planning team in maintaining SAP databases, including maintenance routes, plans, and Bills of Materials (BOM) for critical equipment.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or asset integrity within the chemical or petrochemical industry.
- Practical knowledge of industry standards including API, ASME, NFPA, ISO 55000, ASTM, and ISO 4406.
- Proven experience with failure analysis methodologies such as RCM, FMEA, and RCA.
- Proficiency in SAP PM and data analysis tools including Power BI and advanced Excel.
- Knowledge of predictive maintenance techniques, including vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasound.
- English proficiency at a B1 level.
