Electrical & Instrumentation Foreman

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) operations, managing direct reports and vendor resources
• Steward HSSE and regulatory compliance targets across all E&I activities
• Manage and steward the operating (OPEX) budget and lead the E&I capital program (CAPEX)
• Coordinate cross-functional work with Operations, Mechanical, Engineering, and SCADA teams
• Manage and optimize the work order backlog using Maximo for efficient maintenance delivery
• Oversee the Electrical Quality Management Plan (EQMP), ensuring proper inspection and documentation
• Oversee power systems management and external partnerships with utilities for energy optimization

Requirements

• Journeyman certification in Electrical and/or Instrumentation trade
• 8+ years of progressive experience in E&I maintenance, operations, or project environments
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams, contractors, and cross-functional stakeholders
• Proven ability to plan and manage operating and capital budgets (OPEX & CAPEX)
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation, and maintenance practices
• Familiarity with maintenance management systems, specifically Maximo
• Valid Driver’s License and legal eligibility to work in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with external power utilities or service providers
• Exposure to broader maintenance environments or multi-discipline coordination
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and quality management practices
