Electrical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Install and inspect electrical equipment, associated piping, power, controls, and instrumentation.
• Oversee building and facility construction and associated site development.
• Provide daily reporting and documentation through written reports and project photographs.
• Manage the installation of temporary and permanent signs and delineation.
• Review progress pay estimates, extra work bills, and project scheduling.
• Identify and take action on hazardous work conditions to ensure site safety.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree in a related field or a high school diploma with equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of related field experience on construction projects.
• Formal inspection certification from an independent organization.
• Ability to read and interpret complex plans and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic project management software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
• Strong communication skills for oral and written reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working on similar water or wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of public works contracts.
• Construction safety training, such as OSHA 10-hour (minimum) or 30-hour (preferred).
