Electrical Inspector

Responsibilities

• Ensure contractor compliance with contract documents, detailed drawings, and specifications through observation, measurement, and testing.
• Coordinate daily with project teams to document and verify the quality and quantity of electrical work performed on-site.
• Process incoming inspection requests and technical submittals.
• Maintain daily records of contractor manpower, equipment, and material deliveries.
• Perform site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer or Assistant Resident Engineer.
• Monitor conformance to quality, performance, and building code requirements.
• Monitor Health and Safety of construction works and report any violations.
• Prepare site measurements and surveying checks as required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Engineering (a related Degree is required for progression to Engineer level).
• Minimum of 7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years of experience in the UAE.
• Proven experience in construction supervision within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical installation methodologies, processes, and procedures.
• Detailed knowledge of building codes and construction techniques.
• Experience with various building types, including horizontal development, mixed-use residential, commercial, retail, and hospitality.
• Excellent report writing skills with the ability to present views clearly in English.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or complex building projects.
• Ability to work under pressure using professional judgment and a solution-oriented approach.
