About the role

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical design studies for low and high voltage wiring harnesses and control cabinets for rolling stock.
  • Produce 3D models using CATIA V5 or V6 for feasibility studies (volume, routing) and detailed design.
  • Design wiring boards (flat layouts) and ensure consistency of manufacturing documentation, including shielding, accessories, and connector details.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including electrical, mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineers.
  • Propose design improvements and simplifications by utilizing standard components and solutions.
  • Provide technical support to production teams during the manufacturing of prototypes and initial series.
  • Analyze modification requests impacting the electrical scope and validate associated deliverables.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree in electrical or electromechanical engineering (or extensive experience as a technician).
  • Minimum of 3 years of industrial experience, ideally in transport, railway, or energy sectors.
  • Proficiency in CATIA V5 or V6 for mechanical design.
  • Knowledge of electrical design software such as IGE-XAO (See-One suite).
  • Fluency in English to manage technical scopes and collaborate with remote resources.
  • Strong understanding of wiring harness design, mechanical integration, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) rules.

  • Experience in project management and leading technical activities within a project team.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including external clients.
