Electrical Hardware Integration Engineer

Responsibilities

• Write specifications for Printed Wiring Boards (PWB) to meet thermal product requirements
• Create system-level architectures for distributed microprocessor-based sensors and controls
• Develop hardware test plans for design and factory verification of PWBs
• Manage vendors in creating and deploying factory test verification equipment to contract manufacturers
• Evaluate and mitigate EMC risks in PWB designs and troubleshoot test failures
• Perform part selection, recommend alternate parts, and evaluate risks in older designs
• Create schematics, guide PCB layout, and manage bills of materials and change orders

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or foreign equivalent)
• 2-5 years of related experience in electrical circuit design
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout (experience with Mentor Graphics preferred)
• Strong knowledge of communication interfaces including CAN, 485, 232, SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet
• Experience with FCC and CE testing of electronic equipment
• Experience with microprocessor architecture and analog interfaces for sensors
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to C, Python, Bash, LabView, and Linux
• Knowledge of HVAC principles and systems
• Experience with Design for Manufacturing (DFM) for PWAs
