Electrical Field Service Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for electrical systems across multiple facilities.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical distribution systems including substations, breakers, switchgear, MCCs, protective relay systems, and transformers up to 138kV.
• Support and service induction and synchronous motors up to 40,000 HP and 15,000 volts.
• Execute predictive maintenance activities such as IR thermography, transformer oil analysis, partial discharge analysis, and power quality analysis.
• Plan, schedule, and lead maintenance activities based on established procedures.
• Perform field-based work in various weather conditions, including accessing elevated equipment via ladders, scaffolding, and man-lifts.
• Travel approximately 20% domestically to support multiple sites and remain available for off-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or a minimum of 5 years of experience maintaining medium voltage (5 kV to 15 kV) electrical systems.
• Hands-on experience in industrial electrical maintenance (e.g., field service engineer, electrician, or power distribution technician).
• Working knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices for industrial electrical equipment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and standard email systems.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
