About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist in the interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision
- Perform quantity calculations, material takeoffs, and basic electrical engineering calculations
- Prepare work plans, work packages, and Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
- Supervise field operations and coordinate work groups on the jobsite
- Manage project documentation including RFIs, daily reports, as-built data, and change orders
- Support estimating efforts by reviewing plans, specifications, and historical data for bids
- Order and schedule material deliveries and assist in purchase order preparation
- Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, and safety training
Requirements
- 2-3+ years of construction field experience
- Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and identify discrepancies in engineering plans and contract documents
- Ability to travel and relocate as needed to meet project demands
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in various climates and access all points of a construction site
