Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, building plans, and specifications to determine project scope and requirements
• Develop accurate cost estimates based on materials, labor, and subcontractor pricing
• Identify risks, potential delays, and material waste to recommend cost-saving strategies
• Prepare detailed project takeoffs and production schedules for design-build and bid projects
• Review and negotiate supplier pricing and maintain accurate cost databases
• Attend site visits and pre-bid meetings to verify project scope
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure estimates align with execution plans
• Maintain organized bid documentation and provide timely quote updates

Requirements

• 3–5 years of electrical construction experience, a 4-year engineering degree, or a combination of technical training and licensed journeyman experience
• Strong understanding of residential, commercial, and industrial electrical systems
• Proficiency in estimating software and MS Office Suite
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to pass a post-offer background check and MVR check
