Electrical Engineer/Technologist

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and technical aspects of electrical projects to ensure delivery on time and within budget
• Perform conceptualization, design development, and detailed design work including contract documentation and drawings
• Sign off on engineering designs in accordance with ECSA guidelines
• Manage small to medium-sized projects and oversee procurement, construction, and commissioning
• Design systems such as power, lighting, fire detection, access control, CCTV, and renewable energy solutions
• Provide technical support, supervision, and mentorship to candidate engineers and technologists
• Participate in tender processes, including preparing documentation, method statements, and pricing calculations
• Maintain quality management and health and safety compliance throughout the project lifecycle

Requirements

• B. Eng or B. Tech degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
• Ability to take professional responsibility for engineering designs
• Experience in electrical and electronic building services
• Knowledge of renewable energy designs (Solar PV, BESS) is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional registration (Pr. Eng or Pr Tech) with ECSA or eligibility to obtain it within one year
• Experience with medical facility electrical services
