Electrical Engineer/Instruments & Controls

Responsibilities

• Develop high-quality detailed design packages and provide engineering procurement and field technical support
• Prepare conceptual engineering deliverables including cost estimates, statements of work, and design criteria
• Perform walkdowns in existing plant facilities to generate design documents and provide field support
• Prepare conduit/cable schedules, one-line diagrams, wiring diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, and construction specifications
• Develop control cabinet assembly drawings, system diagrams, and control logic for batch and continuous processes
• Utilize PLCs, HMIs, and distributed digital control systems for process control and monitoring
• Develop process control system narratives and provide input to P&IDs

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum of 10 years of electrical engineering experience
• More than 3 years of instrumentation and controls design engineering experience
• Demonstrated experience with National Electrical Code, UL508A, and ISA standards

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering License (PE)
• DOE Q-Clearance
