Electrical Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary engineering teams providing technical expertise in Electromagnetic Effects (EME) and Reliability, Maintainability & System Health (RM&SH)
• Manage resources, processes, and program support to ensure successful execution of EME and RM&SH work statements
• Develop and implement viable schedules and resource plans across multiple Boeing sites
• Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches for EMI/C, HIRF/Lightning, shielding, grounding, and reliability analyses
• Mentor and coach engineers to enable knowledge transfer and develop the next generation of technical leaders
• Manage, develop, and motivate a diverse workforce through regular one-on-one engagement
• Resolve cross-functional technical issues and ensure conformity to program and regulatory requirements
• Lead continuous process improvements using Lean+ principles

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, chemistry, or a related technical discipline
• At least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, manager, or large-scale project management)
• Experience managing engineers or technical professionals in an engineering environment
• Experience coordinating multi-discipline technical activities while balancing schedule, cost, and performance
• Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
• Willingness to travel as required (up to 25%)

Preferred Qualifications

• ABET accredited Bachelor's degree or Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering
• Active U.S. Security Clearance
• Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of Electromagnetic concepts (RF isolation, shielding, grounding) and RM&SH concepts (reliability analysis, FMEAs, diagnostics)
• Experience managing teams that span multiple engineering specialties
• Proficiency with tools such as LTSpice, MATLAB, MathCAD, or common reliability analysis software
• Experience applying Lean, Agile, or Continuous Improvement methods
