Electrical Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the core avionics team and collaborate with program managers and systems engineers
• Facilitate design, development, test, and delivery of major electrical components for spacecraft missions
• Manage timelines and resource allocations across internal and external programs
• Work with subcontractors and vendors
• Conduct performance reviews for the avionics team

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
• 12+ years of experience in hardware development or electronics test engineering
• Understanding of electronic circuits, design principles, and SMT manufacturing techniques
• Experience in analog sub-circuit and board design (signal conditioning, ADCs, voltage references, etc.)
• Experience in high-speed sub-circuit and board design (DDR/SDRAM, FPGA/SoC interfaces)
• Experience with high-speed communications interfaces (SPI, I2C, SpaceWire, CANBUS, Ethernet, LVDS, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience designing hardware from concept through production
• Understanding of environmental design testing (vibration, shock, thermal, TVAC)
• Knowledge of avionics, spacecraft, launch vehicle, and flight termination systems regulations
• Experience with high-reliability electrical systems for spacecraft or launch vehicles
• Proficiency in C/C++ or Python
