Electrical Engineering Manager, Power & Electronics

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of electrical power and electronics engineers/technicians
• Oversee design, installation, and maintenance of facility electrical power systems including 480V/240V distribution, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, and generators
• Own electrical standards, safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE), and documentation
• Provide engineering support for machine-level electrical systems, power distribution, drives, controls electronics, sensors, and wiring
• Partner with Facilities, Manufacturing, and Automation teams on equipment installations and upgrades
• Lead root-cause analysis for electrical failures, downtime events, and equipment reliability issues
• Ensure electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and PLC/electronics interfaces are maintained and updated
• Manage external contractors, integrators, and vendors
• Drive continuous improvement in power reliability, energy efficiency, and electrical safety
• Provide capital project support including scope development, design review, and commissioning
• Serve as Electrical Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in power electronics design and development
• U.S. citizenship required
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE “Q” level security clearance
• Proven leadership experience in managing engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of electrical standards and safety compliance (NEC, NFPA 70E, UL, CE)
• Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, and simulation tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing or nuclear industry
• Project management experience
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development
• An active “Q” level security clearance
