Electrical Engineering Lead

Responsibilities

• Set the electrical architecture and technical direction for the full product line, including inverters, BMS, and microgrid interconnect devices
• Build, mentor, and lead a team of electrical engineers
• Drive LV embedded systems and power converter design and validation
• Collaborate with firmware, mechanical, test, reliability, and manufacturing teams
• Own production end of line testers
• Debug and resolve complex system-level electrical issues
• Champion continuous product improvement through design iterations

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in electrical system design (energy storage, inverters, EV charging, or motor drives)
• Proven track record of taking complex electrical products from architecture to high-volume production
• Strong command of PCB design (Altium preferred) and hands-on debugging skills
• Ability to write and run transient thermal simulations in MATLAB or Python
• Familiarity with embedded systems, microcontrollers, and scripting for test automation
• Working knowledge of control theory for power conversion
• Experience with automotive or industrial communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
• Proficiency with lab equipment (oscilloscopes, power analyzers, etc.)
• Experience leading or mentoring engineers

Preferred Qualifications

• BSEE or higher with a focus on power electronics
• Experience designing for UL/CSA/IEC certification
• Familiarity with electric motor design or thermal simulation
• Experience in high-volume manufacturing and DFM/DFT optimization
