Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Serve as the lead Electrical Engineer on assigned projects from pre-sales through final commissioning.
• Design optimal UPS and DC power systems based on customer equipment and IT loads.
• Design switchgear configurations and control schemes using PLCs and/or relays for automated transfer operations.
• Develop ground fault protective schemes and generate bills of materials.
• Manage contracted integration companies to provide detailed schematic, detail, and construction drawings.
• Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and internal business units to create construction document sets.
• Perform sizing analysis for standby emergency generators based on various load types.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes and the National Electrical Code.
• Provide technical support, quality control, and onsite integration support during construction and commissioning.
• Travel to sites (5% - 10%) for reviews, audits, and electrical system start-ups.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
• Knowledge of low voltage switchboard and switchgear design, installation, and use.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (AutoDesk suite).
• Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
• Experience with Modbus and TCP/IP communication protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineering (PE) License.
• Proven project management and leadership skills.
