About the role
Responsibilities
- Serve as the lead Electrical Engineer on assigned projects from pre-sales through final commissioning.
- Design optimal UPS and DC power systems based on customer equipment and IT loads.
- Design switchgear configurations and control schemes using PLCs and/or relays for automated transfer operations.
- Develop ground fault protective schemes and generate bills of materials.
- Manage contracted integration companies to provide detailed schematic, detail, and construction drawings.
- Collaborate with architects, general contractors, and internal business units to create construction document sets.
- Perform sizing analysis for standby emergency generators based on various load types.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes and the National Electrical Code.
- Provide technical support, quality control, and onsite integration support during construction and commissioning.
- Travel to sites (5% - 10%) for reviews, audits, and electrical system start-ups.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years of Electrical Engineering experience.
- Knowledge of low voltage switchboard and switchgear design, installation, and use.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit (AutoDesk suite).
- Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience with Modbus and TCP/IP communication protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineering (PE) License.
- Proven project management and leadership skills.
