About the role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and verify electrical power systems for carrier aircraft and hypersonic vehicles
- Create and peer-review wiring diagrams and harness diagrams for electrical systems
- Support aircraft electrical technology development, including requirements and implementation plans
- Perform electrical system test verification and support test procedure development
- Represent electrical systems in mission control and contribute to flight test activities
- Write interface control documents (ICDs) and support integrated testing
- Perform design and analysis to support component development
Requirements
- Experience in electrical engineering, avionics, or aerospace systems integration
- Proven experience architecting and debugging electrical power systems (28VDC & 115VAC)
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining wiring harness diagrams
- Experience with technical aerospace leadership and working with sub-contractors
- Proficiency in Matlab, Python, or equivalent software
- Experience with Siemens Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent wiring diagram software
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with hypersonic programs or government agencies
- Experience performing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA)
- Experience with 747 electrical systems
- Experience with PCB design, bring-up, and integration
- Experience with Mission Control Center console operations during flight
- Familiarity with Siemens NX, Catia, Solidworks, or Labview
