Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support electrical design, including working with existing systems and making modifications
• Use standard aircraft components to create control, data, signal, and power circuits
• Support aircraft electrical technology development and implementation plans
• Create, peer review, and approve wiring and harness diagrams
• Represent electrical systems in mission control and contribute to flight test activities
• Develop and perform electrical system requirement verification and test activities
• Write interface control documents (ICDs) and support integrated testing
• Contribute to the integration of complex aerospace systems

Requirements

• Experience with electrical engineering, avionics, or aircraft/hypersonic vehicle integration
• Knowledge of EWIS standards for electrical component hookups
• Experience architecting and debugging electrical power systems (28VDC & 115VAC, 400Hz)
• Experience creating and maintaining wiring harness diagrams
• Familiarity with aircraft power components like TRUs, circuit breakers, and bus feeds
• Experience with requirements development and electrical interface management
• Proficiency in Matlab, Python, or equivalent software
• Proficiency in Siemens Capital, AutoCAD Electrical, or equivalent wiring diagram software
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with hypersonic programs or government agencies
• Experience performing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA)
• Experience with 747 electrical systems
• Experience with IEEE 802.3 networking and IRIG-106 telemetry standards
• Experience with PCB design, bring-up, and integration
• Experience with Mission Control Center console operations
• Proficiency in Siemens NX, Catia, Solidworks, or Labview
