Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed arc flash, short circuit, and protective device coordination studies in compliance with NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, and OSHA standards
• Develop and maintain accurate electrical system models and single-line diagrams using specialized software
• Recommend engineering controls and administrative solutions to reduce incident energy levels and enhance safety protocols
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, and IT teams to identify process bottlenecks and implement upgrades
• Support the development and delivery of electrical safety training programs
• Ensure all electrical designs and installations adhere to NEC, NFPA, ANSI, and UL standards

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 5-10 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment
• Demonstrated experience in arc flash analysis and process improvement
• Expertise in power system analysis software such as SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations including NFPA 70E and OSHA
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar drafting tools

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensure
• Relevant safety certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour or CESCP
• Experience with PLC/HMI programming, AC/DC drive systems, and data acquisition software
