Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end electrical project lifecycles for industrial and utility applications
• Develop technical documentation including single-line diagrams, schematics, and equipment specifications
• Serve as Technical Lead for brownfield replacement initiatives involving 5kV and 15KV switchgear
• Perform electrical design calculations and power systems studies such as arc flash analysis
• Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior engineers
• Interact with clients professionally and follow safety protocols

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Electrical Engineering program
• Registered P.Eng. with APEGA
• Minimum 5 years of experience in heavy industrial, utilities, power generation, or mining sectors
• Experience designing medium voltage systems (4.16kV to 25kV)
• Proficiency in SEL/GE relay logic programming
• Proficiency with ETAP or similar power systems software
• Familiarity with Canadian Electrical Code
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record
• Ability to pass a medical exam for site access
