Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and build electrical prototypes for core technology
• Refine electrical design to support prototype maturation
• Undertake circuit design, generate schematics, and perform component selection
• Apply design-for-manufacture principles and thorough documentation
• Support PCB layout design and coordinate with external vendors
• Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to integrate electrical systems
• Verify and validate designs through testing, troubleshooting, and debugging
• Participate in design reviews and contribute to system-level engineering discussions
• Maintain electrical documentation including BOMs, wiring diagrams, and ICDs

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field
• 3–5 years of hands-on electrical engineering experience
• Experience designing three phase field-oriented controllers for bidirectional motor drives
• Proficiency in circuit design, schematic creation, and component selection
• Experience with Schematic/PCB design tools such as Altium
• Demonstrated experience building and testing electrical systems or prototypes
• Strong understanding of electronics fundamentals and system integration
• Ability to troubleshoot circuits and debug hardware
• U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder)
• Ability to maintain or obtain a Government Security Clearance

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing hardware for aerospace, defense, or robotics
• Familiarity with DFM, DFT, and tolerance analysis
• Knowledge of embedded systems, microcontrollers, sensors, and power electronics
• Experience with environmental or functional testing of electrical systems
• Hands-on experience with lab equipment like oscilloscopes and logic analyzers
