About the Company
We are a stealth-mode Aerospace & Defense startup headquartered in Gardena, CA. Our founding team hails from SpaceX, Anduril, and Lockheed Martin, and we are backed by Joint Staff-level military leadership and several Silicon Valley firms.
Responsibilities
- Own the design and manufacturing processes for custom harnesses
- Support design of embedded avionics systems including power, compute, sensing, actuation, and communication subsystems
- Act as the primary point of contact for any manufacturing issues on electrical assemblies
- Determine layer stackup, perform component package selection, component placement, routing feasibility studies, and signal routing of digital, analog, RF, and power conversion of printed circuit boards (PCB)
- Create and release documentation for fabrication of PCBs
- Own schematic design, component selection, PCB layout, and design review
- Manage board-level bring-up, debugging, and validation in lab and field test environments
- Guide board-level manufacturing, testing, and assembly processes
- Establish test procedures for validation, environmental, and EMC/ESD qualification
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- 1-5 years of experience designing, building, and testing embedded electronics for aerospace, defense, robotics, or automotive systems
- Strong experience with Altium Designer or similar CAD system (KICAD, EAGLE, CADENCE)
- Experience with High-speed digital electronics, embedded microcontrollers, RF components, power electronics, and digital buses (CAN, SPI, UART, I2C)
- Proficiency in schematic capture, layout, and board-level signal and power integrity design
- Familiarity with environmental design constraints including thermal, EMI/EMC, shock, and vibration
- Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee to comply with ITAR regulations
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in avionics or high-reliability hardware systems
- Proven experience delivering complex, multi-board avionics from concept to production
- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson platforms, STM32, RP2040, or other aerospace-class embedded systems
- Experience in design-for-manufacture and supply chain planning for high-mix, low-volume aerospace production
- Experience with rapid prototyping and validation test campaigns
- Prior work in extreme environment systems such as missiles, launch vehicles, or satellites
