About the role
Responsibilities
- Design flight electronics, wire harnesses, cables, and high-speed circuits for advanced reentry vehicle systems
- Collaborate with firmware, embedded software, mechanical, and system engineers to verify hardware designs
- Support environmental testing activities and component design qualification to meet harsh requirements
- Execute rapid system integration to incorporate cutting-edge prototypes within tight deadlines
- Demonstrate innovative design, build, and test methodologies to increase mission readiness
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering discipline
- Five (5) years of directly relevant engineering experience
- Active DOE Q level security clearance (or equivalent active government clearance)
- U.S. citizenship
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Electrical Engineering or a highly related field
- Direct experience designing nuclear weapon electronics
- Proficiency in circuit modeling, analysis, and electronic circuit verification via simulation
- Experience with computer-aided electrical design, PCB layout, and manufacturing
- Familiarity with Mil-Std digital interface communication standards
- Knowledge of the Nuclear Weapons qualification process
