About the role

Responsibilities

  • Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
  • Design electrical equipment and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
  • Produce products according to specifications using cost-effective and efficient means
  • Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components, including power generation and transmission
  • Work with weapon system designers to understand requirements and integrate solutions for missile flight simulators

Requirements

  • STEM degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant electrical engineering design experience
  • Experience with electronic design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing from circuit card to systems level
  • Proficiency with electrical engineering design tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, or Creo Schematic
  • Experience using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters
  • Experience with schematic capture or advanced FPGA firmware development (VHDL or Verilog)
  • U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in hardware integration
  • Experience working with real-time operating systems or embedded systems
  • Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques
  • Experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
  • Experience performing analog, digital, or RF design
