About the role
Responsibilities
- Research, develop, design, and test electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
- Design electrical equipment and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes
- Produce products according to specifications using cost-effective and efficient means
- Analyze and evaluate new or improved electronic components, including power generation and transmission
- Work with weapon system designers to understand requirements and integrate solutions for missile flight simulators
Requirements
- STEM degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- Minimum of 5 years of prior relevant electrical engineering design experience
- Experience with electronic design, troubleshooting, analysis, and testing from circuit card to systems level
- Proficiency with electrical engineering design tools such as Altium, DX Designer, Mentor Capital, or Creo Schematic
- Experience using test equipment including Oscilloscopes, DMMs, Network Analyzers, and Power Meters
- Experience with schematic capture or advanced FPGA firmware development (VHDL or Verilog)
- U.S. citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in hardware integration
- Experience working with real-time operating systems or embedded systems
- Strong technical writing and formal presentation skills
- Knowledge of computer architecture and hardware optimization techniques
- Experience with troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
- Experience performing analog, digital, or RF design
